KIRKLAND – Northwest finishes off its regular-season road schedule this weekend with matches at Bushnell at 7 p.m. on Friday and Corban at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Northwest is alone in fifth place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings at 10-8 but has a titanic schedule ahead. All four matches are against postseason contenders, and NU must win at least one of those four matches. Corban leads the conference at 17-1 and has locked up one of the six postseason berths. Bushnell is fourth at 13-5 and needs just one more win to secure a spot.Â

NU lost a pivotal five-set match at home against Lewis-Clark State on Saturday.
Susanna Bailey had 22 kills, Abi Broussard blocked seven attacks, and
Megan Horne collected 19 digs.

Broussard has 370.5 points for 4.2 points per set this season with 3.13 kills, .08 aces, and 0.79 blocks per set. She is 26th in the nation in points per set. Broussard is fourth nationally with 54 service aces.

Anna Saelens averages 9.82 assists per set this season and has 854 total assists. She is second in the Cascade Collegiate Conference to Bushnell's Makenna Northern (10.67).

Broussard, Horne, and Bailey are giving the Eagles eight kills per set. Broussard leads the Eagles with 3.1 kills, followed by Horne at 2.6 and Bailey at 2.4. Broussard leads that trio with a .294 attack percentage.

Cristina Lorenz leads the Eagles with a 4.26 digs-per-set average. She has 371 on the season.
Kelsey Cummins has also been a key contributor on the back row at 1.92 digs per set.     Â

Broussard and
Azaria Johnson have been a force all season on the front row, averaging 0.79 and .65 blocks per set.
Kalei Kepler has emerged as a force recently and is now second on the team with 0.68 blocks per set.Â

Northwest is 17-11 in the all-time series with Bushnell, including a 3-0 loss to the Beacons last month in Kirkland. Bushnell has won the last three matches. NU last won in Eugene in 2018. In the 3-0 loss last month, the Eagles got eight kills from
Megan Horne and five blocks from
Abigail Broussard.
Cristina Lorenz led with 18 digs. Halle Neumann paced the Beacons with 13 kills, and Payton Jones added five blocks.Â

Bushnell dropped to 17-5 overall and 13-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a pair of losses last weekend at Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech. Shay Coons leads the team with 3.50 kills per set, and Neumann is right there at 2.28. Callie Wilkins has served up 31 aces this season and also leads the back row with 4.63 digs per set. Matelynn Ladd tops the front-row defense with 0.94 blocks per set.

Corban tipped the balance of the rivalry its way with a win in Kirkland last month for a 19-18 lead in the series with Northwest. The Warriors have won the last two matches. NU last beat the Warriors in Salem, 3-1, in 2019. Broussard had seven kills and two aces, while Saelens had five blocks and 19 assists in the NU loss to Corban last month. Rylee Troutman had 10 kills, and Jadyn Mullen added four aces and 20 assists for the Warriors.Â

Corban improved to 23-1 overall and 17-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a pair of wins over Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon last weekend. The Warriors are on a four-match win streak. Troutman and Avari Ridgeway have been the best 1-2 punch in the CCC, getting 3.64 and 3.11 kills per set, respectively. Troutman has 43 aces this season. Kealani Ontai leads the team with 3.56 digs per set, and Allyson Reid gets a monster 1.23 blocks per set upfront.
