Â
"We knew today would be a battle, and it was from the start," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "We asked the girls to play with more intensity and energy, and they definitely responded. I am proud of the effort and the fight, and we easily could've won this match on a different day had the ball bounced our way a bit differently."
Â
Kierstin Patefield finished the game with five saves.Â
Â
Northwest took 10 shots and put three on goal. Wright and Claire Jo Diede led the Eagles with four shots each, with Wright getting all three shots on goal.

Now 3-6-3 overall and 2-2-2 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the Eagles travel to Eugene for a 3 p.m. contest at Bushnell on Saturday.
