Providence, ranked 28
th in the NAIA preseason poll, shot 49 percent from the field and limited the Eagles to four second-chance points.

"We're disappointed," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "We have to learn how to beat these better teams. It's good to have this opportunity this early in the season, but the challenge now is to learn from it and play to the level that we know we can play at and have played at."

Livi Lindsey led the Eagles with a dozen points and seven rebounds.Â

The Eagles, now 2-1, return to action next weekend in the Corban Classic, taking on Embry-Riddle on Friday and Pacific Union on Saturday.
