KIRKLAND – Northwest held 15th-ranked Corban to its lowest score of the season in a 1-1 double-overtime tie Sunday.

"I'm very pleased with my team today," said NU Head Coach Gary McIntosh. "We had discipline in our game. We worked well together as a team, had great communication, and played with a lot of grit. We had some good opportunities to score that came out of our disciplined play. I felt like this was a good result today, and we are looking forward to playing tomorrow."

Titus Nickson put the Eagles on the board in the 22nd minute, converting an assist from Tyler Hopp.

Carlos Llamosa got the equalizer with 23 seconds left in the first half.

Alexander Thiehofe came away with five saves, and Nickson was on the spot for several blocks.

The Eagles had seven shots, with Nickson and Benjamin Banks-Forder getting two each. Banks-Forder had two shots on goal, while Nickson, Elliot Misic, and Jacob Moon had one apiece.

Northwest and Corban finish the series in Kirkland Monday with a 3:30 p.m. contest.
