Nicola Fish connected for three hits in the second game of a twin bill setback at No. 17 College of Idaho.

The Eagles lost 14-1 and 10-5.

NU allowed a 10-run third in the first game and got its lone run in the fourth inning.
Sammi Caron and Fish opened the fourth with singles, with Caron scoring on an RBI ground out by
Deanna Johnson.Â

Becca Rennick was charged with the pitching loss.

Northwest tied the game in the second inning of the second game when
Sydney Maurer singled and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Ashley Oswald.

Oswald doubled and scored on a single by
Starlynn Ripley in the fourth inning to make it a 5-2 game.
Â
NU scored twice in the sixth. Fish doubled and scored on a ground out by
Sam Parisio, and
Jessica Nunes came home as part of a double-steal attempt.

Fish added an RBI single in the seventh.
Â
NU had nine hits in the game with Fish's three, two each by Nunes and Ripley, and one apiece by Oswald and Maurer.

Maurer took the pitching loss.

"We saw some positive elements this weekend, but we never put them all together," said NU Head Coach
Pam Fink. "We are going to keep working hard to get there."

The Eagles host top-ranked Southern Oregon for four games on March 14-15 at Bellevue High School.
