NU, 1-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, heads to Portland next weekend for a two-game set Sunday and Monday with Warner Pacific.

"We played really well today, and I was more than pleased with the way we approached the game and the effort given by the girls throughout," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "We played well enough to win the game, but give credit to Southern. They played a tough game and were defensively resilient. I am pleased with our performance, and now we look ahead to next week against Warner Pac."
