KIRKLAND – Northwest plays its final home games Monday and Tuesday against Oregon Tech with a chance to reach the postseason.

Games are at 1 p.m. each day in Kirkland.

Oregon Tech and Corban are tied atop the Cascade Collegiate Conference West Division at 7-1 with Northwest within striking distance at 5-2-1. If the Eagles take two from OIT and Southern Oregon sweeps Corban, the Eagles win the division and the automatic berth to the NAIA Tournament. Any other combo eliminates Northwest.

Northwest will recognize its senior class Tuesday. Madison Morrow and Kierstin Patefield will be playing their final games.

Morrow, a midfielder from West Linn, Oregon, is a two-time Academic All-Conference and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. She has six goals and 12 assists in her career.

Patefield, a keeper from Puyallup, is a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree. She has six shutouts and a 0.66 goals-against average for her career.

Northwest hasn't beaten Oregon Tech since 2017. Northwest has a 10-6 lead in the all-time series.

The Owls won in Kirkland last season in a heart-breaking 4-3 double-overtime contest. Olivia Morris had two goals, while Hayli Huhta and Callie Wright had one assist apiece.

The Eagles come into the series on a two-game winning streak, having scored 2-0 and 3-0 wins at Bushnell. Olivia Morris had three goals and Callie Wright two in the series. Grace Burke and Maya Lewis had assists.

Wright leads the Eagles with five goals, while Morris has four. Anna Lau is next with three goals.

Patefield carries a 0.65 goals-against average into the series, which ranks 26th in the NAIA and fifth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. She also is sixth in the league with 22 saves.

Maddie Miller leads the Owls with 11 goals and is tied for the team lead in points with Mehana Ortiz. Ortiz has seven goals and a team-leading nine assists. Abigail Herbert also has seven goals. Alyx Burkhartzmeyer has not allowed a goal in her five starts in goal.

OIT is 9-1 this season and 7-1 in the CCC. The Owls come in on a five-game winning streak.
