KIRKLAND – After a two-week break, Northwest returns to the volleyball court to take on St. Martin's this weekend in a home-and-home series.
NU plays at SMU in Lacey Friday at 6 p.m. and hosts the Saints at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
The Eagles are coming off a 3-0 loss at the hands of California Baptist.
Hannah Lord led the Eagles with nine kills. Abi Broussard had four blocks, and
Megan Miller was part of three.
Hannah Michaels had 10 digs.

Abigail Broussard is second in the NAIA with 0.92 aces per game. Broussard has 11 aces through four matches and 12 games. She leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference in aces per set.
Three Eagles average more than two kills per game each, led by
Hannah Lord at 2.92. Broussard averages 2.5, and
Tatiana Ensz checks in at 2.09.
Megan Miller is not far off the pace at 1.90. Lord leads the team with a .280 attack percentage, which ranks fourth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Courteney Carr tops the Eagles with 5.45 assists per game. She has assisted on 60 of the Eagles' 132 kills this season. Carr is sixth in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
The Eagles have two players getting more than three digs per game.
Hannah Michaels leads the team with 3.42 per game, and
Cristina Lorenz is right behind at 3.25. Both rank in the Cascade Collegiate Conference's Top 10.
Susanna Bailey averages a team-leading 0.89 blocks per game. Broussard is close behind at 0.83. Bailey is eighth, and Broussard is 10
th in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
St. Martin's is 1-3 this season with a split against Seattle Pacific and losses to Alaska Anchorage and California Baptist. Kylie Cook leads the Saints with 2.8 kills per game. Giselle Benetti leads the back row with 3.81 digs per game, and Gracie Brenner and Maddy Gooding average a team-leading 0.59 blocks per game in the front.
