GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Northwest dropped its sixth consecutive game with a 10-0 loss at Providence Friday.
The second game was scrapped because umpires had not been assigned to the doubleheader, causing a significant delay.
"It was a struggle all the way around," said NU Head Coach
Pam Fink. "It was a rough day, but tomorrow brings opportunities to be better."
The Eagles had five hits, including two by
Alyssa Maldonado and one apiece by
Kayla Stanley,
Sam Parisio, and
Sydney Maurer.
Becca Rennick allowed six first-inning runs to take the loss.
The teams resume the series with two conference games beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.
