"First, I have to congratulate Walla Walla for the energy and intensity they bring to every point," said NU Head Coach
Steve Bain. "Whenever we play them our goal is to try and match their effort and it is always a challenge. For the most part, we were able to meet that challenge tonight and I was pleased with our physical effort and mental approach. Consistency in those two areas translated into doing the things on our side of the net that allowed us to keep control of the match. It will be good to play at home this next week and we look forward to the challenge of playing three strong opponents in just five days.
The Eagles got out to a 12-5 lead in the first set. Walla Walla closed to within 18-14 before Northwest closed out the set on a 7-3 run
