KIRKLAND – Northwest has a big weekend road trip in store as the Eagles visit the College of Idaho Friday at 6 p.m. (Central) and Eastern Oregon at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The weekend marks the beginning of a five-match road swing for NU.

NU and the College of Idaho are tied for seventh in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings, putting the loser of Friday's match on the postseason bubble with just over half of the season remaining. Saturday's game against a hot Eastern Oregon team marks the end of the first half of the CCC season.

Northwest is 5-9 overall and 4-5 in the CCC after a 3-0 loss at home to Bushnell on Saturday.
Megan Horne had eight kills,
Abigail Broussard had five blocks,
Anna Saelens added 27 assists and
Cristina Lorenz tacked on 18 digs.

Broussard and Horne are combining for 7.4 points per set this season. Broussard averages 3.12 kills, 0.12 aces, and 0.64 blocks per game while Horne gets 3 kills, 0.18 aces, and 0.37 blocks.

Saelens averages 9.56 assists per set this season and has 478 total assists. She also has done her other work at the net with a team-leading .378 attack percentage and is third with 30 blocks.

The College of Idaho is 7-10 overall and 4-5 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after a 3-1 loss at Oregon Tech on Saturday. The Yotes are led by Emily Vandenberg's 2.51 kills per game. Cameron Wallace averages 0.97 blocks per game and Isabelle Combs tops the back row with 4.36 digs per set.

Eastern Oregon improved to 13-4 overall and 8-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with its 3-1 win at Southern Oregon on Saturday. EOU comes into the weekend on a seven-match winning streak. Cambree Scott leads the Mountaineers with 2.74 kills and 1.31 blocks per set. Hailey Arritola has 24 aces and leads the back-row defense with 5.02 digs per set.
