KIRKLAND – Northwest scored late goals in each half, claiming a 2-1 win over Pacific Saturday.
Ian Reynoso scored with 19 seconds remaining in the first half, playing home a beautiful cross by
Jonathan Toscano for a 1-0 Eagles lead.
The score held up until Brodie Buchert scored on a penalty kick to tie the game with 5:50 remaining in the game.
Brayden Corwin gathered a pass and outsprinted a defender toward the box before passing to
Elliot Misic. Misic easily beat a second defender and buried the game winner with 3:35 remaining.
"I am pleased we got the win, but I am not happy with how we played," said NU Head Coach
Gary McIntosh. "We will talk about it this week at practice and get ready for the game on Wednesday."
Northwest had 11 shots for the game. Misic got three, while
Benjamin Banks-Forder,
Kyle Han, and
Tyler Hopp had two each. Misic, Han, and Hopp accounted for six of NU's seven shots on goal with two each.
Alexander Theihofe reaped three saves in goal for the win.
Now 2-1, the Eagles travel to Tacoma on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. match with Puget Sound.
