KIRKLAND – Northwest travels to Tacoma Wednesday for a 4 p.m. tilt with Puget Sound at Baker Stadium.

Northwest scored a 2-1 win over Pacific in the NU home opener Saturday. Elliot Misic fought off a defender to get the game-winning goal late. Ian Reynoso also scored a goal. Jonathan Toscano and Brayden Corwin had assists. Alexander Thiehofe surrendered only a penalty kick goal and had three saves.
 
Northwest ranks 13th in the NAIA in both shot percentage (.292) and shots on goal percentage (.667). The Eagles have taken 24 shots over three games, putting 16 on goal, and have seven goals. Elliot Misic leads the team with six shots and has put all but one of those on the frame. Tyler Hopp has four shots on goal.
 
Misic leads the Eagles with three goals this season. Ian Reynoso has two goals, and Gian Herrera and Seito Gao have one apiece. 
 
Puget Sound is off to a 1-2 start this season. The Loggers opened with a 4-0 victory over Cascade Collegiate Conference member Multnomah before dropping two games in Minnesota to Augsburg and St. John's. 
 
Marko Babiak leads UPS with five points and shares the goals lead at two with Ryan Smith. Andrew Matheny has the lion's share of minutes in goal and has eight saves and a 1.60 goals-against average.
