KIRKLAND – Northwest avenged a 46-point loss from earlier in the season, taking down Lewis-Clark State 78-63 Saturday night.
Â
The Eagles, which lost 103-57 at Lewis-Clark State in December, handed the Warriors their most lopsided defeat of the season.
Â
"It was a 65-point turnaround, but it's not about that," said NU Head Coach
Jeff Drinkwine. "We've been telling our guys all season to just take things one day at a time and get better every day. That's what I think you saw tonight. We have improved day by day. Our guys shared the ball well, and it was fun to see."
Â
The Eagles shot 50 percent from the field and knocked down 11 of 23 three-pointers (47.8 percent).
Â
CaCoa Chatman poured in 30 points, hitting 12 of 18 field goals and coming up with five steals. The Eagles also got a big night out of
Rayvaughn Bolton, who went for 16 points, eight assists, and six steals.
Tanner Davis added 11 points, and AJ Chappell was good for 10 points off the bench.Â
Â
Carson Sparks gathered eight rebounds.Â
Â
Northwest improved to 9-9 overall and 6-7 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Â
NU travels to Oregon next weekend, taking on Southern Oregon on Friday and Oregon Tech on Saturday.
