KIRKLAND – The Cascade Collegiate Conference selected Northwest's Kayla Soderstrom as its Rize Laboratory Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Soderstrom, who leads the CCC in assists, had two in the 7-1 win over Bushnell and added a goal in NU's 2-1 win over Corban last weekend.
 
"Kayla has been superb for us all season, and she is totally deserving of this award," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "This weekend she was dangerous every time she was on the ball, worked hard defensively, and scored a fantastic goal against Corban as well."
 
It is the first Player of the Week award for Soderstrom, who is a sophomore from Snohomish. This is the third Offensive Player of the Week award and the seventh weekly honor for the Eagles this season.
