KIRKLAND – Northwest starts the second half of the Cascade Collegiate Conference season on Tuesday with a road trip to Evergreen State in Olympia for a 7 p.m. contest.

Northwest has a 30-6 lead in the all-time series after the Geoducks took a 3-1 match in Kirkland last month. The teams split a pair of 3-2 matches last season with both teams winning on the road.Â

The Geoducks used 13 kills by Lily Stewart and seven blocks by Hannah Rongen to claim the win, 17-25, 25-19, 25-14, 25-17.
Abigail Broussard led the Eagles with 14 kills and two blocks and
Karste Wright added eight.
Reece Denney and
Morgan Harter had two aces each. Harter led NU with 22 assists and Saelens added 13.

NU got its first home win, knocking off the College of Idaho in three sets, 25-21, 25-21, 25-14.
Abigail Broussard le d NU with 12 kills and a .400 attack percentage.
Kaitlyn Mickle added eight kills.
Anna Saelens supplied 16 assists and
Morgan Harter added nine.
Kelsey Moore led the back row defense with 13 digs while
Delaney Sparks and
Kylie Lunday assisted on two blocks each up front.

The Eagles finished the first half at 5-6 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings. NU has six home dates, compared to five road games in the second half.

Broussard leads the Eagles with 2.95 kills per set with 218 kills and a .345 attack percentage. She is second in total kills and attack percentage in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Karste Wright has come on strong and now averages 2.27 kills.Â

Moore tops the Eagles with 411 digs and a 5.48 digs per set average.
Caitlyn James averages 2.04 digs per set. Moore leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference in both total digs and digs per set. She is seventh in the NAIA in total digs and 15th in digs per set.

Evergreen State had a great first half with a 7-4 conference mark and is 8-7 overall after a three-set loss to No. 1 Eastern Oregon on Saturday. Zoey Shaw leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 226 kills and is second with 3.96 kills per set. Hannah Rongen is atop the CCC leaderboard in blocks per set at 1.29. Sierra Wolf leads the league with 8.26 assists per game.Â
