KIRKLAND – Northwest heads down the highway to Olympia to take on Evergreen State on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
 
Northwest is seventh in the CCC and has a one-point lead on three other teams. Evergreen State is one of those teams, and a win by the Geoducks would put NU in a tough spot. The other two teams, Carroll and Multnomah, have four more opportunities to score points to NU's three.
 
Northwest is 6-7-2 on the season and 4-5-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after falling 3-0 on Saturday at Warner Pacific.
 
Northwest has a 14-8 edge in the series with Evergreen State, but the Geoducks have won the last three meetings. ESC won 3-2 last season in Kirkland. Tyler Hopp and Gian Herrera scored for NU, with Elliot Misic getting an assist. Gavin McLeroy, Brandon Clough and Alex Young had goals for Evergreen. 
 
Ten Eagles have scored goals this season, led by Tyler Hopp with six. Elliot Misic has four, and Max Herrig has three. 
 
Fourteen Eagles contributed 24 assists to the Northwest offense through 15 games. Kyler McIntosh leads the crew with four.
 
Evergreen State is 5-8 overall and 4-6 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference after a 3-2 loss at Multnomah on Saturday. Jax Buckley leads the Geoducks with six goals and 14 points. Kainoa Wong has four goals and a team-leading four assists. Colin Hauser allows 1.97 goals per game and leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference with 93 saves.
