OLYMPIA – Northwest recorded its 11th shutout of the season and kept its place atop the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings with a 2-0 win at Evergreen on Saturday.

Hanne Breur is tied for the school single-season record, sharing the mark with Kat Sanchez, who had 11 in 2018. Breur had two saves in picking up the keeper win.

Maya Lewis got the brace for the Eagles, including the game-winner in the 50th minute. She added her second goal in the 78th minute.

The game was scoreless at halftime despite seven shots on goal and a dozen corner kicks by the Eagles.

"Playing Evergreen is always a tough game, and they were well organized defensively today," said NU Head Coach
Bryan Chud. "We weren't extremely happy with our first half although we controlled it, but the second half we were extremely efficient defensively and created a lot of opportunities as well. Maya has been superb for us all season, and her goals today were well earned. We'll enjoy the win this weekend, and then turn our focus to the big final weekend ahead of us."

Northwest finished with 19 shots on the afternoon, led by Lewis with four.

Olivia Morris had three shots each. Lewis had three shots on goal with VanAssche adding two. Morris, Soderstrom, Russell,
McKenna Ramoso and
Trinity Mischel tested the ESC keeper once each.

Northwest moves to13-0-2 overall and 9-0-1 in the CCC. The Eagles finish off the regular season next weekend, taking on second-place College of Idaho on Friday and fifth-place Eastern Oregon on Saturday, both on the road.
