LA GRANDE, Ore. – Northwest encountered its first loss of the season, losing the regular-season finale 1-0 at Eastern Oregon on Saturday.
 
After a scoreless first half, Kena Mateaki scored 47 seconds into the second half.
 
Northwest was limited to six shots on the day, including three by Claire Jo Diede and two by Olivia Morris. Diede had two shots on goal and Morris added one.
 
Hanne Breur had five saves in the losing effort.
 
Northwest dropped to 14-1-2 on the season and 10-1-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
 
The Eagles go into the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed and will play eighth-seeded Rocky Mountain in the first round on Nov. 7 in Oregon. Game time will be 11 a.m.
