Â
Kaitlyn Mickle had kills in two of the final three rallies, ending the set with the second.
Â
Northwest used a 7-1 run to build a 10-4 lead in the second set and took full command with a 7-0 run, ending with a 20-9 NU lead.

Â
Three Eagles had kills, and
Allie Flynn added an ace in a 4-0 run to open the final set. NU tacked on an 8-0 run to stretch the lead to 23-6, and Susana Bailey ended the match with a kill.
"Multnomah came out with great energy and was efficient in serve-receive early in the match," said NU Head Coach Steven Bain. "As well, we struggled with doing the small things well, and Multnomah took advantage in a tight first set. Between the first and second set, though, we reminded our ladies that taking care of the small things would translate into big things, and they responded by serving tough and playing clean on offense. Overall, I'm pleased with the team's progress over these last few matches and excited to begin preparing for a challenging road trip next week."
Wright led NU with 12 kills, with Mickle coming up with eight. The Eagles had a .360 attack percentage for the night, with
Delaney Sparks hitting .462 with six kills and no errors in 13 swings.
Â
Morgan Harter had 16 assists, and
Anna Saelens added 10.Â
Â
Northwest had six aces, with Flynn and
Caitlyn James getting two apiece.Â
Â
Kelsey Moore led the back row with 10 digs, and James added eight. Broussard had four block assists, with Wright, Sparks, and
Kylie Lunday getting two each.
Â
Dane Stokes had seven kills to lead Multnomah.
Â
The win stretches NU's record to 12-10 overall and 8-6 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. The Eagles hit the road next weekend to take on No. 23 Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
