TACOMA – Northwest dropped to 1-1 on the season with an 88-74 road loss at Puget Sound on Friday.
Â
The Loggers methodically built their margin after the teams went into the locker room in a three-point game, 33-30.Â
Â
The UPS offense was fueled by a rash of Northwest turnovers.
Â
"The guys played hard," said NU Head Coach Rick Skeen. "Big issue tonight was turnovers. We turned the ball over 25 times. Those turnovers led to easy transition buckets. We will have to learn to value the basketball to be more competitive."
Â
Drew Bryson led the Eagles with 22 points, while CaCoa Chatman and James Laurence added 10 apiece.Â
Â
Djordje Mitrovic came off the NU bench to lead the team with six rebounds. Chatman had five assists.
Â
NU gets back on the road Saturday with a 3 p.m. contest at Linfield.
