KIRKLAND – In a game that saw both teams shoot well, the difference was turnovers, and Corban captured the win, 92-76, over Northwest on Friday.
Corban had 14 steals, and the Eagles turned the ball over 26 times.
"Twenty-six turnovers," said NU Head Coach Rick Skeen. "You can't beat anybody turning the ball over that many times."
Corban shot 55 percent from the field, led by Mateo Escheik with 24 points and Taylor Anderson and James Carlson with 10 each.
Northwest shot 59 percent in the second half and 57.4 percent for the game, but it had 11 fewer shots than Corban.
Drew Bryson led the Eagles with 24 points, and Joose Lee added 16.
Lewis Pope and AJ Chappell had 10 each. Pope added seven rebounds and four assists.
The Eagles return to action with a 5 p.m. game against Bushnell on Saturday.
