LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon shot a sizzling 55 percent from the field and knocked off Northwest on Saturday, 77-54.

The loss mathematically ends the Eagles' postseason hopes.

Tanner Davis, Tre Newman, and
Carson Sparks had nine points each to lead NU, with Davis leading the team with eight rebounds.

"Proud of our group, they competed in two tough environments this weekend," said NU Coach
Zach Smith. "Credit EOU tonight, they played hard and their pressure got to us. We'll regroup and get ready for two more at home."

The Eagles started strong, building a 13-5 lead as
Rayvaughn Bolton scored five points in a 9-0 run, closing with 13:43 left in the first half. NU scored just nine points for the rest of the half as the Mounties built a 38-22 halftime edge.

Now 10-15 overall and 7-13 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference, the Eagles finish the season next weekend with home games Friday at 7:30 p.m. against Bushnell and Saturday at 5 p.m. against Corban.
