NU Drops Two in Idaho

CALDWELL, Idaho – Northwest established a new scoring streak record but lost both games at third-ranked College of Idaho, 17-5 and 5-1.

"Credit to College of Idaho for putting the bat on the ball today," said NU Head Coach Pam Fink. "But we didn't quit, we put the ball in play, and the sun's going to come out tomorrow."

The Eagles have scored in all 17 games this season, breaking the previous mark of 16 consecutive games in a single season, established by the 2015 squad. The current streak is 24 games, dating back to last season.

The teams finish the series with two games, starting at 10 a.m. Pacific on Saturday.

CI 17, NU 5

The Eagles took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Madisyn Leffle singled, stole second, and scored on a double by Emily Barry.
