Eagles Open Home Schedule Tuesday

KIRKLAND – After 10 matches away from the home court, Northwest volleyball has its home opener on Tuesday when Evergreen State rolls in for a 7 p.m. contest.
 
Northwest and Evergreen State split a pair of 3-2 matches last season with both teams winning on the road. The Eagles have a 30-4 lead in the all-time series.
 
Susana Bailey had 17 kills while Abi Broussard had 11 kills, five blocks, and two aces in the Eagles' 3-2 win in Olympia last season. Zoe Shaw had 20 kills for the Geoducks.
 
Tuesday's matchup will result in the first Cascade Collegiate Conference loss for tonight's loser. Both NU and Evergreen State are 2-0 after sweeping the Portland road trip last weekend. The winner will be alone in first place for a day. Northwest enters with an overall record of 6-4 and Evergreen State stands at 3-3.
 
Northwest went 2-0 in Portland last weekend with a 3-1 win over Multnomah and a sweep of Warner Pacific.
 
Abigail Broussard leads the Eagles with 3.05 kills per set with 122 kills and a .339 attack percentage. Broussard leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference in total kills and is second in attack percentage.
 
Kelsey Moore Kelsey Moore leads the Eagles with 250 digs and a 6.1 digs per set average. Caitlyn James averages 2.21 and Morgan Harter 2.0 digs per set. NU averages 17.7 digs per set. Moore leads the CCC in total digs and is second in digs per set.
 
Northwest averages 2.17 aces per set, led by Abi Broussard with 21. Kelsey Moore has 19, Reece Denney has 16, Allie Flynn 14, and Caitlyn James 11. Broussard leads the Cascade Collegiate Conference, Moore is second, Denney is third and Flynn is fifth.
 
Evergreen comes into the match with a 2-0 record in the Cascade Collegiate Conference and a 3-3 overall record after beating Warner Pacific and Multnomah in straight sets last weekend in Portland. Zoe Shaw leads the CCC with 5.0 kills per set. Hannah Rongen is third in the league with 1.14 blocks per set.
