KIRKLAND – Northwest missed nine of 11 free throws and lost to Warner Pacific on Friday, 50-48, missing the final two charity shots with under a second left in the game.
 
"Heartbreaking loss tonight," said NU Head Coach Ken Crawford. "We just simply did not play well. The whole game is exemplified by our free throw percentage. We don't have much time to feel sorry for ourselves. Gotta get ready to play tomorrow."
 
Maya DuChesne scored 19 points and Katie Fleming added 11 for Northwest. That tandem had four assists each, Kylie Lunday had nine rebounds.
 
Emily Brown led Warner Pacific with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
 
The Eagles host Multnomah in a 3 p.m. start on Saturday.
