CALDWELL, ID - The Yotes put an end to the Northwest University women's volleyball six game winning streak tonight in just three sets, the Eagles trailing 9-25, 24-16, 16-25.
The Eagles found difficulty in finding match control tonight, only holding a lead over the Yotes twice.Â
Kaitlyn Mickle totaled eight kills tonight, followed by Kylie Lunday with five.
Allie Flynn and Morgan Harter each had 11 assists.
Kelsey Moore led the back line with 18 digs.Â
Head Coach Steve Bain says, "I give credit to The College of Idaho for their preparation. Their first contacts were better than ours from start to finish, and that allowed them to control the match. We tried to fight back in the second set, but we struggled to play clean and couldn't make plays when it counted. Hopefully we can learn from a tough loss and play with more commitment and resolve the next time we take the court."
The Eagles have to bounce back quickly as they face another tough opponent tomorrow night at 5 pm. NU is headed to La Grande, OR, to match up against Eastern Oregon.
