KLAMATH FALLS, OR - The Northwest University women's soccer team suffered a loss in Klamath Falls, OR, this afternoon during a single-goal match against Oregon Tech.
The first half went scoreless for both sides, with a shot from Halley Marschall and one shot on goal from Rachel Russell.
Marschall's second shot of the match took place 11 minutes into the second half off of a corner kick from Russell.
Tech found it's way to the scoreboard in the 65th minute and led 1-0.
Gracie VanAssche and McKenna Ramoso both took a single shot to follow but with no result in the Eagle's favor.
Head Coach April VanAssche says, "Today's game was not the result that we were hoping for. I felt like we played well at times but couldn't put enough of the pieces together to get a win. We are disappointed as a team and know we need to be better tomorrow. I know this group is resilient and will take this opportunity to learn and come back stronger in the next match."
Still with a secured spot in the playoffs, the Eagles push forward to their next match tomorrow in Ashland, OR, at 2:30 p.m. against Southern Oregon.
