CALDWELL, ID - Northwest faced another tough opponent in number 23-ranked University of Antelope Valley Friday afternoon. While leading at halftime, the Eagles were just outmatched 74-82 at the end of the day.

"Another tremendous effort by our guys. They really battled and executed our plan against a nationally-ranked NAIA team," said Head Coach Rick Skeen.

The Eagles went toe-to-toe with the Pioneers through the first half and led by one going into halftime. Eventually, Antelope Valley was able to capitalize and took the lead in the second half.

Lewis Pope led the Eagles with 20 points followed by
Luke Howard and
Caleb Whalen with 12 apiece.

"We were up a half but struggled a bit with turnovers and rebounding in the second half. If we continue to play with the energy and physicality we have brought the last two nights, our guys will be competitive every night out."
