KIRKLAND – Northwest got a double-double from
Kylie Lunday and double-figure scoring from three players but dropped a 71-64 game to the College of Idaho on Friday.
Â
"Tough game to lose tonight," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "College of Idaho played very well, even though they were undermanned. I felt we played inconsistently in some spots, and they took advantage of it. I'm always impressed with our never-give-up mentality."
Â
The Yotes got a 23-12 lead after the first quarter and successfully fended off a few rallies by the Eagles from there.
Â
Lunday had 16 points and 10 rebounds for NU, while
Kyrin Baklund led the Eagles in scoring with 17, and
Maya DuChesne added 15. DuChesne and
Katie Fleming had five assists each, with Fleming getting six steals.
Â
Bryanna Graham came off the bench for 17 points to pace the Yotes, with Lexi Mitchell adding 15 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Kenadee French had 13 points.
Â
NU wraps up the regular season with Senior Day on Saturday at 3 p.m. against Eastern Oregon.Â
