VANCOUVER, B.C. – Northwest dropped a pair of games at British Columbia on Wednesday, 8-0 and 11-5.

The Eagle offense was held to a single by Chloe Van Boekout in the opener.

NU fell behind quickly, 4-0, in the second game but tied the game in the third inning with an RBI grounder by
Kayla Stanley, a two-run single by
Sydney Maurer and an RBI grounder by
Jamelah Lewis.

The Thunderbirds scored seven runs, five unearned, in the fourth inning.

The Eagles added a run in the seventh on an RBI ground out by Maurer, her 51st RBI of the season.

NU had seven hits in the game, including two each by
Madisyn Leffle and Maurer.
Abby Blahut added a double to go with singles by Stanley and
Cedella Ritchie.

"Not the day we expected," said NU Head Coach Pam Fink. "We have a few days to regroup and get back after next week. I am confident we will bounce back."

The Eagles return to action April 6-7, hosting Bushnell.
