Eagles Tie with Mounties: 0-0

KIRKLAND, WA - A draw concluded the day for the Northwest University women's soccer team today against Eastern Oregon, 0-0.

Eastern Oregon found many opportunities at the net with 12 shots on goal, but Ella Wilson's 12 saves kept the Mounties from the scoreboard and from a win.

The Eagles struggled offensively with just two shots on goal for the match—one each from Colette Liston and Gracie VanAssche.

Coach April VanAssche completed her first conference game today as head coach. "I felt like today's game was a good battle by my team," says VanAssche. "We had a lot of opportunities on both sides of the ball to make big plays. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the back of the net today. I am very pleased and excited for Ella Wilson and how big she and the defenders played today in the game, keeping us in it for 90 minutes! I felt like overall, the women came out hard and competed against a very strong Eastern Oregon team. I am proud of this team and the way we competed in our first game of conference this year and happy to regroup and be ready to go for tomorrow's game."

The Eagles host College of Idaho tomorrow at 3 pm. The Yotes defeated Evergreen State this afternoon, 4-1.
