Eagles Shutout Knights: 1-0

KIRKLAND WA - The Northwest University women's soccer team took its second conference victory of the season over Warner Pacific this afternoon, 1-0.

An own goal in the Eagles' favor put NU up 1-0 in the 73rd minute of play.

The Eagles' offense was ablaze as they totaled 17 shots with seven on target.

Gracie VanAssche led the offense with seven shots, two being on goal. Laura Rice, Anna Lau, and Charly Scherbarth trailed with two shots a piece.

Ella Wilson got the win in goal with four saves.

Head Coach April VanAssche says, "I was very pleased with the way my team played today. They came out with a lot of energy and moved the ball around well. I am very excited we got a shut out today and the win as we continue to build our momentum! I thought a couple of players had a very good game that really helped us on both ends of the field. Looking forward to seeing what we can do tomorrow."

The Eagles host Multnomah tomorrow at 3 p.m. in Kirkland.
