KIRKLAND, WA - In a physical matchup, Northwest struggled to put the pieces together as they fell to LC State, 88-69.
The Eagles started strong as they got out to a quick lead in the first half. As LC State started to find the bucket, the two teams traded points and had four lead changes in the last 2:30 before halftime. Northwest went into half down by two.
Coming out of half, the Warriors found some momentum and stretched their lead to 12 in five minutes. The Eagles continued to fight and stay in the game for the majority of the second half. Ultimately, the Warriors were able to pull away and claimed the victory.
Luke Howard continues to post big numbers with 30 points on the day.
Manuel Zapater brought home a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Northwest will take on The Evergreen State College in Olympia on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
