EUGENE, OR - After a long overtime game on Friday night, the Eagles struggled to find rhythm against Bushnell, falling 60-44.
While Northwest was able to keep Bushnell within striking distance during the first quarter, the Beacons started to gain ground in the second quarter, which left NU unable to climb out of that hole. The Eagles continued to fight all game to find some momentum, but the Beacons were continually able to knock down shots that kept NU from taking the lead.Â
Alli VanKooten led the Eagles with 12 points, while
Maya DuChesne knocked down 11.
Kylie Lunday tallied eight points and six rebounds on the night.
"We continue on a path we are not excited about," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "We have to come to some sense of resolution about how we are going to play, and I am confident that we will. The work will continue for us next week."
Northwest hosts Warner Pacific University at 5 p.m. on January 12.Â
