WALLA WALLA, WA - The Eagles start off the road trip with a tough loss at Walla Walla, falling 3-0.
The Wolves from Walla Walla came out strong and quickly showed Northwest that they were going to be a tough opponent. NU struggled to find rhythm as the Wolves took set one.
The Wolves carried their momentum into the second set and caused Northwest to dig themselves out of a hole to stand a chance. The Eagles pushed through and came within two points at the end. Walla Walla found its rhythm again in the third set and brought home the win.
"Walla Walla was on point in all three phases of the game—serve, serve receive, and transition. And when that happens, the outcome is predictable," said Head Coach Steve Bain. "We must now do our best to put this match behind us because we face another tough opponent tomorrow evening."
Katilyn Mickle led the Eagles with 13 kills.
