Helena, MT - The Northwest men's soccer team fall to Carroll College, 3-0.
The Eagles went up against arguably the strongest team in the conference in the Saints and couldn't find any answers for their consistent attack or their rock solid defense.
Saints forward Alfie Snow had himself a day with a hat trick, scoring right out of the gate in the third minute, then the 41st minute, then in the second half in the 59th minute.
Coach McIntosh thought it was needed for a nearly entire set of new legs with five substitutions, including subbing goaltender Michael Kot, in the 64th minute. This seemed to shake up the offense as they started to bring the pressure, but they ultimately fell underneath the might of the Saints.
"We came up against one of the best teams in the conference today, and they did not make anything easy for us," said Head Coach Gary McIntosh. "The second half was much better for us, but it was not our day. We regroup and get ready for Saturday's game."
