Helena, MT - The Northwest women's soccer team was defeated by the Saints, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.
It was a dominant game for the Saint's from the start as they overwhelmed NU in the shot stats, 19-5. Despite Carroll's offensive onslaught, Katie Snow stood very strong between the sticks, saving 10 shots for the entire game.
Carroll wouldn't find the back of the net until the 67th minute when Saints' midfielder Emily Funseth was able to get one past Snow for the game's only goal.
"Today's game against Carroll was a tough loss for us at this point in the season," said Head Coach April VanAsshce. "However, I am very proud of how the team came together and played today. We had one of our better games overall and really look forward to building from that into these last three regular-season games. Tomorrow's game will be a great opportunity for us to dig deep and find a way to get another three points."
