Great Falls, MT - The Eagles women's soccer team take home a strong win against the Argos, 5-1.
It was a heavy offensive showdown with shots aplenty from both sides, but the Eagles took charge from the get go.
The Eagles' first goal came in the 8th minute by midfielder Talia Hurst. Forward Charly Scherbarth grabbed the second goal of the game in the 18th minute, adding another point to her game as she assisted Hurst in the first goal. Two minutes later, forward Rachel Russell bagged the third goal of the game. The fourth goal of the half came off the foot of Hailey Deese in the 33rd minute.
The second half slowed down. The Argos were able to nab one goal in the 55th minute, but the Eagles weren't done. In the 78th minute, midfielder Kambree Degon shot one past the Argo goalie to secure the win.
"I'm very proud of my team today and how well they moved the ball around and found the back of the net," said Head Coach April VanAssche. "They played good team soccer today and really created some great opportunities in front of the net showing some great composure!"
