Eagles Edged Out by Warriors

KIRKLAND, WA - Eagles hosted the No. 8 ranked Corban Warriors for a Friday night matchup. In a tough battle, the Eagles fell to the Warriors, 3-1.

The first set proved this match up would be a grind as both teams traded points back and forth early on. Corban pulled away and were able to take set one handily.

NU came back fighting for set two. The Eagles fought for three set points and finally got the victory to even the match. Through the back and forth points, Corban proved their rank and battled to take set three. This took their momentum into the fourth set where they sealed the win.

Head Coach Steve Bain said, "Corban is a terrific squad that is talented in every phase of the game and at the end of the evening that balance was too much for us to overcome. Still, our ladies battled and continue to make progress, and I know they are excited to take the court against a very good Bushnell team tomorrow."

Morgan Harter led the Eagles with 27 assists. Katilyn Mickle led the offense with nine kills, followed closely by Azaria Johnson and Aubree Dees with eight each.
