KLAMATH FALLS, OR - Northwest will head home after a hard-fought battle with the Oregon Tech Owls that resulted in a 82-93 loss.
The first half showcased two strong teams as the Eagles and Owls went back and forth finding the bucket. After 20 minutes, the score was even as the two teams headed into the locker room. Northwest got out to a strong start in the second half by taking an early lead. However, OIT was always right behind and managed to take the lead with 12:19 to play. As the Owls went on a scoring run, the Eagles tried to stay within striking distance. Ultimately, Oregon Tech widened its lead and came away with the win.
Manuel Zapater led the Eagles with 20 points as well as 10 rebounds, giving him a double-double on the night.
Nash Wobrock and
Lewis Pope each contributed 16 points.
Northwest will head home to host Eastern Oregon University at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
