KIRKLAND, WA - The Eagles honored nine graduating student-athletes as they took on The College of Idaho. Despite a close battle, Northwest ended up falling to the Yotes, 68-76.
Northwest started out strong as it went toe-to-toe with the Yotes and carried the lead for the majority of the first quarter. While the Eagles maintained their momentum as the second quarter got under way, The College of Idaho found its groove and took the lead going into half.
As the teams came out for the last 20 minutes, the Yotes kept a steady lead. The Eagles managed to tie the game with 5:42 left to play. Ultimately, the Yotes made crucial shots to give them the lead that they were able to hold on to until the end.
"It was a hard-fought game tonight in front of a great crowd!" said Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "I was pleased with the effort and energy from our team. Looking forward to ending on a positive note next weekend as we head to Portland."
Kylie Lunday brought home a double-double with 19 points and an impressive 17 rebounds.
Kyrin Baklund scored 14, and
Maya DuChesne landed 13.
Northwest will finish out the regular season with games at Multnomah and Warner Pacific next weekend.
