Eagles Look Forward to Playoffs

PORTLAND, OR - The Eagles rounded out the regular season with a 69-102 loss to the Warner Pacific Knights.

As the Eagles put in a different starting lineup for the night, the Knights were able to capitalize on the new players on the court. Warner Pac found a rhythm early on and was able to maintain that rhythm for the majority of the game.

"It was fun for our guys who don't usually play to start and get big minutes tonight," said Head Coach Rick Skeen. "It was important for us to rest our starters. I am proud of Ant, Devante, Christian, Matt, and Djordje for carrying us tonight. I was also proud of our starters who were awesome supporters and willing water boys. Fun night for sure."

Anthony Howard led the Eagles with a career-high 24 points. Christian Zamora brought in 15 points, Devante Powell secured 12, and Djordje Mitrovic scored 10. Howard and Mitrovic also had double-doubles on the night, with Howard bringing in 10 rebounds and Mitrovic securing 16.

Northwest will head to Caldwell, Idaho, to take on the College of Idaho in the first round of playoffs. The Eagles will compete on Wednesday, February 28, at 7:30 p.m local time.
