KIRKLAND, WA - Despite a strong start, the Eagles ran out of steam in the second half and ended up falling to the Beacons, 74-59.
Northwest saw its strongest quarter in the beginning as the Eagles got out to a quick lead. They were able to stay ahead and end the first ten minutes up by five. While Bushnell put pressure on the Eagles, Northwest was able to respond and maintain the lead going into halftime.
Bushnell came out of halftime continuing its momentum from the second quarter, forcing the Eagles to continue making shots. Ultimately, Northwest gave up the lead, and the Beacons came away with the win.
"Tough game tonight against a good Bushnell team," said Head Coach Ken Crawford. "We're still concerned about the lack of consistency in the way we play. We are still trying to problem solve, and the urgency starts to build as the season begins to wind down."
Despite the loss, the Eagles saw four players hit double digits. Maya DuChesne led the Eagles with 14 points. Kyrin Baklund and Grace Harder each brought in 11 points. Ellie DeWaard knocked down ten.
Northwest will host Corban tomorrow at 3 p.m.
