NU Comes Up Just Short: 101-93

KIRKLAND, WA - In a high-scoring match, the Eagles pushed to the end, as they fell just short against the Beacons, 101-93.

Both Northwest and Bushnell came ready to play, as they showed it would be a tight match from the first whistle. As the first half got underway, the Eagles and Beacons traded points to keep the game close. Ultimately, Northwest held the lead going into halftime.

As the teams were neck and neck to start the second half, the Beacons started to take the lead, while Northwest worked hard to answer. As the Eagles fought to stay in the game and keep it close, the Beacons were able to make key shots at the end to come away with the win.

"Our guys gave a tremendous effort tonight," said NU Head Coach Rick Skeen. "We had a chance to beat a very good team and came up one play short. Credit to Bushnell for making the plays at the end.  We will regroup and give our best effort again tomorrow."

Luke Howard led the Eagles with 27 points, with Lewis Pope and Caleb Whalen each bringing home 15.

The Eagles host Corban University tomorrow at 5 p.m.
