ASHLAND, OR - The Eagles headed to Southern Oregon this weekend and came up short against the Raiders, 70-40.
Northwest was able to compete with Southern Oregon in the first half and stayed within striking distance. However, Northwest struggled coming out of halftime, which allowed the Raiders to expand their lead. As the Eagles tried to fight their way back into the game, Southern Oregon was able to finish the game strong and ultimately claim the victory.
Northwest was led by
Katie Fleming with 16 points.
Kylie Lunday secured 12 rebounds on the night.
"We played a good first half against a top-ranked team in the country," said NU Head Coach
Ken Crawford. "Third quarter was not so great. Not much time to recover as we head to OIT for an afternoon game tomorrow."
The Eagles will face Oregon Tech tomorrow at 3 p.m.
