KIRKLAND, WA - The Eagles faced another five set match as the Geoducks came up for a weeknight contest. After four back-and-forth sets, Evergreen inched away and handed the Eagles the loss.
Northwest put up an impressive 59 kills in the match, led by
Aubree Dees and
Delaney Sparks with 12 kills each. But, attack errors and service errors got the best of the Eagles throughout the night.
"A lot of credit goes to Evergreen because when the match was on the line and plays needed to be made, they made them and we did not," said Head Coach Steve Bain. "That said, our attack errors and service errors added up to nearly 3 sets worth of points so frankly, I don't know how we even got it to 5 sets. No one is feeling sorry for us though and we will have to put this match behind us and continue to work on the things that will make us better the next time we take the court."
Morgan Harter led the assists with 25 on the night.
Ellie Van Berkum commanded the back row with 28 digs.
