EUGENE, Ore. - In a dramatic finish in Eugene, Oregon, the Eagles men's soccer team scored in the final minute to secure a 1-1 draw against the Beacons.
After a scoreless first half, the match was decided by two goals in the final nine minutes. Bushnell broke the deadlock first in the 82nd minute with a goal by Omar Barajas, assisted by Juan Remo Morales and Caleb Premo.
As the game was coming to a close, Northwest earned a free kick that led to Joao Fonseca finding the back of the net with 33 seconds left in the game.
The Eagles were tested throughout the match as the Beacons got off 21 shots and 12 corner kicks throughout the night.
Bailey Hopkins tallied six saves for the game.
Northwest will host Warner Pacific University next Friday at 3:00 PM.
