KIRKLAND, Wash. - Despite a second half goal, the Eagles could not catch up to the Knights. 

The Knights wasted no time setting the tone, taking the lead just 91 seconds into the match. Forward Linden Maurer netted the unassisted opening goal to put Warner Pacific up 1-0. Warner Pacific continued to pressure and fund a second goal to go up 2-0 before the half. 

Early in the second half, the Knights tallied another goal to further their lead on the Eagles. While fighting from behind, the Eagles were finally able to answer with their only meaningful attack of the game. Pedro Dionisio scored an unassisted goal to get the Eagles on the board. 

The match proved to be a physical affair, with the teams combining for 27 fouls and receiving five yellow cards. Despite the high shot volume, Northwest goalkeeper Bailey Hopkins was pivotal, making 6 saves to prevent an even larger margin of victory for the Knights.

Northwest will look to honor their graduating seniors on Sunday while they take on Walla Walla at 2:30pm.
