KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Eagles ended the weekend with a dominant victory as they ended the day with seven goals.
The first thirty minutes were scoreless as both teams were getting into a rhythm. Lilly McMullen opened the scoring for the Eagles first, followed just two minutes later by a goal off a corner kick from
Kambree Degon. The first half ended with a third goal by
Gracie VanAssche to put the Eagles up 3-0 going into the second half.
Gracie VanAssche continued her dominance as she netted two more goals in the second half, giving her a hat trick on senior day.
Sara Becerra found the back of the net in the 81st minute. Walla Walla was able to get one back shortly after as Emily Mijaljevic scored one of the Wolves.
Jersey Walker closed out the scoring for the Eagles in the 87th minute.
Northwest honored their two graduating athletes today,
Gracie VanAssche and
Kennedy Leach.
"Very excited to see the team come together today and put so many goals away," said NU Head Coach
April VanAssche. "It was great to see so many different players impact the game in one way or another! Another great step towards becoming the best we can be!"
The Eagles will host Evergreen State College next Saturday.
